SEO Tips & Tricks
- Slow / Gradual / Natural Link Building Speed.
If you have experienced your website rankings fall on Google and/or other search engines, probably you already know: your link building speed should be SLOWLY! Since only slowly & gradualy link building looks natural to search engines, and especially to Google. If you build links too quickly, your website can be penalized by Google. The higher your link building speed is, the more serious penalty (rankings drop) your website may get. For new websites we recommend to start link building from ~5 links a week. For sites with 300-1000 link popularity we recommend to build ~10-15 links a week and gradually increase this speed. Read full article: How To Avoid Google Sandbox
- One of the most misunderstood points of Blogging is concerning your "content freshness" factors.
Content freshness: Write lots of good interesting content and post to your Blog consistently. How often? The more often the better.
Just remember that you are writing for your readers who are pinged when you post a new update. But you are also driving the search engine robots wild with a blog that seems to continually have new content on it.
Posting shorter Blog entries on a regular "hourly" basis is even more effective than posting on a "weekly basis." It's not hard to do once you understand the importance of consistency.
- 6 SEO Tips to Conserve Time and Balance Your Judgment
If you are performing SEO on Web sites these days, you're likely aware that within the search engine marketing industry, there are new challenges all the time. While many of us tend to gain a good comfort level with our SEO skills, there are others that are challenged by the frequent changes in the industry. Change does not have to be a bad thing, but if you are just starting out as a search engine marketer, you'll need to learn the best ways to conserve your time.
For some people, the quest is to understand the constantly changing algorithms which can feel like an impossibility. And then for others, the quest is more about trying to learn some quick little "tricks" that will magically "fool" or "out-wit" the search engines. (very outdated thinking) And then there is a group that always wants to believe there is some new hot software tools that will do the whole job for them. So where exactly is the balance and what is the wisest approach for long term success for your Web site or your client's Web sites?
- Stop spending time analyzing something that's designed to continually change.
- No need for "tricks" or "short cuts" ever.
- There is no software that can match your human skills for doing the job completely.
- Learn to focus on making the most of your precious time element - Focus on content for the visitor.
- Yes there are smarter ways to work. Here's how to stop repeating mistakes and accelerate your skill level fast.
- Finally, never stop growing and advancing your SEO skills.
-
Write your title & description for PEOPLE, but not for search engines! Your title and description should be considered an "ad campaign" for your website, because that's just what they are. Your page may be #4 in the rankings, but if you've taken time to create captivating title and description tags, you may have just as many click through as the #1 or #2 spots who haven't done their homework.
- Remember that optimization principles also apply to your press releases or media releases.
Next time you put out a press release, use Wordtracker to see if you can build in a couple very busy high performance phrases related to real world news. These can sometimes be spotted in Wordtracker's Top 1000 (Short Term Report.)
- Prepay your domain name for 5 and more years.
- Use different C-Class IPs. Host your sites on different hosting companies, or at least give them different IP addresses. Making different site owner’s details is also wise.
- Be careful with linking your own websites with each other. If you have many sites, and you link them each to another, remember about making these links look as natural as possible.
- Do not include not necessary words in your keyword phrases.
- Target less competitive keywords at first.
- Focus your keywords.
- Do not use articles ("a", "the", "an") and other often used words in your anchor texts, search engines IGNORE them. Type in Google "Find a date for free" and in fact you'll see the results for "Find date free"
- Learn CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), or even better find someone you can count on that knows it.
